What the Motorised Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) does
An automatic transfer switch moves your building's supply from mains to generator when the power fails, and back again when it returns — without anyone flipping a switch. Motor-operated ATS units are mechanically and electrically interlocked, so both sources can never be connected at once.
Paired with an AMF controller such as the DSE7320 MKII, an ATS turns a manual standby generator into a fully automatic backup system — essential for hospitals, data rooms, hotels and offices.

Fitting notes
An ATS is installed at the main incomer and must be sized for the full load, wired with correct cable sizes and protection, and commissioned with a real mains-failure test. This is a job for qualified electricians and generator engineers — we design, install and commission it.

ATS or contactor changeover — which is better?+
Both work. Motorised ATS units are compact and suit higher currents; contactor panels are economical at lower ratings. We recommend based on your load.
How long does changeover take?+
The generator first starts and stabilises — usually several seconds — then the ATS transfers. For zero-break power, critical loads need a UPS as well.
Do you install and commission it?+
