What the Generator Control Panel Fuse Assortment (20-pack) does
A surprising number of call-outs for a generator that "won't do anything" end with a blown control fuse. The controller, fuel solenoid, starter relay and charging circuit are all protected by small blade fuses in the panel.
This assortment covers the common ratings, so the site team can restore a blown circuit in minutes — once the reason it blew is understood.
Signs it needs replacing
- Controller display dead although the battery is good.
- Engine cranks but will not start (fuel solenoid circuit).
- No crank at all, or no charging, after a fault.

Fitting notes
Always replace a fuse with the same rating — never a higher one or a wire link. If a new fuse blows again straight away, there is a short circuit: stop and call an engineer.
Frequently asked questions
Can I fit a bigger fuse if it keeps blowing?+
No. A repeatedly blowing fuse means a fault in the circuit; a bigger fuse risks a wiring fire.
Which fuses do generators use?+
Most modern control panels use standard blade (ATC/ATO) fuses. Check your panel before ordering.
What should be kept on site?+
A fuse kit, a spare fan belt and fuel and oil filters cover many common stoppages.
